Dedicated Lines

Our dedicated lines offer confidential, culturally sensitive, and identity-affirming support tailored to meet the unique needs of our diverse communities. Available from 8 am to 6 pm on weekdays, these lines are designed to create a safe, comfortable environment where employees can be supported to connect with mental health professionals who understand their specific experiences and backgrounds. Each dedicated line is staffed by the team trained in culturally competent support and committed to providing affirming support in line with best practice. Calls received after hours, on weekends, and public holidays will be directed to our general support line, where assistance remains accessible.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples Dedicated Line

This culturally safe and affirming space allows employees who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander to connect with a mental health professional who understands their experiences, culture, and history. Our dedicated consultants are trained to provide respectful and culturally sensitive support, ensuring that each conversation is approached with understanding and care. Employees can request to speak with a professional who has specific experience working with Indigenous individuals, families, and communities, and/or a professional who identifies as being in the community themselves, respecting the diverse traditions and strengths of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.”

LGBTQIA+ Dedicated Line

This dedicated, inclusive, and judgment-free space allows employees to speak openly and comfortably with a focus on affirming care. Our consultants use people's correct pronouns that align with how people identify. We provide training and support to our team through ACON’s Pride in Health + Wellbeing Program to ensure best practice in serving the LGBTQIA+SB community. Additionally, we have mental health professionals who have experience, training and/or identify as part of the LGBTQIA+SB community, and employees can request to speak with someone who shares their lived experiences
